FAQ

Where are you located? Can I visit your shop?We are an e-commerce business so unfortunately; we do not have a physical shop you can visit. By having an e-commerce business, we can reach customers across the USA and the globe and provide quality service. Additionally, I will list in my blog the quilt shows that I will be vending. I enjoy meeting my customers in person at the shows.

What does wide backing mean?Wide backing means the width of the fabric is traditionally around 108” wide. This provides for a seamless back for your quilt. In the description of each fabric, I reflect the width of the fabric as it can be slightly less or larger depending on the manufacturer. This means that if you purchase 2 yards of a 108” fabric, you would get one continuous cut of fabric that would be 72” x 108”

I would like to see your fabrics. Is that possible?I don’t have a physical shop that you can visit, however, I do list the quilt shows that I will be vending at on my blog and would love to see you there!

What is a remnant?A remnant is traditionally a size that is different than a piece of fabric that is in 1 yard increments. Traditionally this occurs when I get to the end of the bolt. In these cases, the price of the remnant is not by the yard but a flat rate for the remnant. So if a remnant is 2 2/3 yards x 108”, it will not be cut any smaller and you would enter a quantity of 1 for that piece of fabric.
-
How do you cut your fabrics?I cut continuous yardage based on the quantity you purchase. If you purchase 2 yards of 108” fabric, you would receive one continuous piece of fabric that measures 72” x 108”. My panels are cut from the bolt and pre-packaged. This means if you ordered 3 panels, you would receive them individually packaged (but shipped together).
-
What is the quality of your fabric? All of our fabrics are purchased from quilt shop quality manufactures such as Moda, Timeless Treasure, Benartex, and Wilmington Fabrics to name a few. We stock traditional cotton, batiks and flannel backings and cotton and flannel panels. Our pre-cuts are from the same manufacturers that supply your quilt shops. We try to stock fabrics to meet different price points for our clients. This ranges from lower end solid color fabrics to our more expensive ones such as batiks.
-
What is the fiber content of the fabrics? All of our fabrics are 100% cotton unless documented in the description of the fabric. I have allergies. Are you a smoke-free, pet-free location? I also have allergies so I can empathize with you. Yes, we are a smoke-free and pet-free location (this helps my allergies as well!)
-
How should I launder the fabrics? It is suggested that you use cold water and a dryer set to low heat. Additionally after you have completed your quilt, you will need to adapt the laundering process for the type of batting you used in your finished quilt.
